Please note that due to scheduled maintenance work on the Gardiner Expressway this weekend, the eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed from Carlaw Avenue to Highway 427 from 10 p.m. on Friday, April 25 to noon on Sunday, April 27.

Due to this closure of the major arterial access to downtown and the preferred route from there to the airport, travel times will likely be longer.  Please keep this mind when making reservations for this weekend (April 25-27) in Toronto, as earlier pickup times may be required to reach destinations on time in consideration of the resulting slowdown.

This is the opening maintenance closure of the season, and also kicks off a busy couple of years of maintenance work on the Gardiner. Lane closures will continue intermittently during this work until about 2016 (with a break during the Pan Am Games in July of 2015).
