Major Freeway Closure on Sunday, June 1st

Please note that on this coming Sunday, June 1st, both the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway will be closed in both directions. Between the hours of 2 am and 2 pm on Sunday, all northbound and southbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway and all westbound and eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway will be shut down for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada’s Ride for Heart.

Alternate routes will need to be taken by our chauffeurs during this closure, so expect travel times to be increased until the freeways reopen at 2 pm. Chauffeurs, reservationists and dispatchers are all aware of this closure and the traffic disruptions likely to result, but feel free to provide a reminder when booking that more time may be required due to Ride for Heart. If you have already reserved time-sensitive limousine service in this stretch of the day, please consider contacting our office to move pickup times a bit earlier. Sunday mornings are not typically very heavy traffic-wise on Toronto’s major routes, but traffic picks up as the day goes on.

Thank you for your attention and patience. As always, we recommend monitoring this space as well as the city’s major route updates page for more information on this and other future service disruptions.
